In a bid to cheer myself up what with Covid and quarantine I’ve found some revealing quotes about ageing which I wanted to share. They come in three parts. I’ve highlighted my very favourite ones.

4. “I am convinced that most people do not grow up. We marry and dare to have children and call that growing up. I think what we do is mostly grow old. 6. “The afternoon knows what the morning never suspected.” ― Robert Frost

11. “The longer I live the more beautiful life becomes.” ― Frank Lloyd Wright
12. “We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.” ― George Bernard Shaw
13. “Old age is an excellent time for outrage. My goal is to say or do at least one outrageous thing every week.” ― Maggie Kuhn
14. “Getting old is like climbing a mountain; you get a little out of breath, but the view is much better!” ― Ingrid Bergman
15. “I have reached an age when, if someone tells me to wear socks, I don’t have to.” ― Albert Einstein
16. “There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age.” ― Sophia Loren
